But let's consider the dominate love for Creighton. IF the Jays have a truly great season and pull the BEC off by themselves while also having otherwise dominant OOC success, could they find themselves in rarified air - a #1 NCAAT Seed?

The 1's from the last 10 years - didn't know where else to put this, so thought I would put it here with the idea that a BE team could snag another top seed this year:

Will depend for Creighton on how they do in Maui and then the next couple of weeks. this stretch will tell a lot-
Nov 21 Texas Tech
Nov 22 Arkansas/Louisville
Nov 23 Ohio St/San Diego St/Cincy/Arizona
Dec 1 @ Texas
Dec 10 vs BYU
Dec 12 vs Arizona St

They win like 4 or 5 of those games, they have a really good shot at a #1 with a good Big East season.

Yes that’s exactly right. Only having one of those a true road game and the rest in Maui and Vegas is pretty good but damn that’s going to be brutal.

The Maui/ Austin teams in Lunardis current bracket:
Texas Tech 7 seed
Arkansas 3 seed
SDSU 5 seed
Arizona 5 seed
Ohio State 10 seed
Texas 2 seed

But thanks to our Nova pals and what they’ve accomplished in the post season I feel good about having a brutal OOC schedule!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Lotta love for X, but that has been the trend for the past 4 years. Hopefully a new coach makes the difference.

Who knows what he was thinking, but Calipari royally F'd up with Hopkins. The man has become a coaching joke.

So, I'm looking around and clearly see Bryce Hopkins thrashing his way to BE POY. Something special is unfolding as we speak, because the look in his eyes recently has been the basketball version of Ted Bundy....Stone-Cold-Killer. He appears to be un-guardable. UNLESS teams start game planning to bait him into some charges. That dribble drive through the paint is the best in the country IMO and HAS to be altered. Otherwise, he will FEAST on "the Hoop and the Harm" or get hacked trying. Either way, he will simply destroy you from the line......hide the women and children.

On Jan 5, two teams have UConn home wins. If a team can sweep them, the MSG #1 seed would likely follow.

Damn this is fun.

For all intents and purposes, the basic structure of the BE tourney is coming into focus.

Not at all looking like SHU can move up their seeding position with that brutal remaining schedule. They have 4 more with the ranked teams and both Nova games left. Book it.....they are playing on Wednesday. VillaNova is suiting up on Wednesday as well...in far too deep of a hole to have any chance of a 1st round bye.

So really, the top 5 is set. Extremely long odds, but UConn could win out and avoid the 4-5. Regardless, the team who ends up with the dreaded task of playing them on Thursday has a tough row to hoe.

Highly unlikely it is my Musketeers. Looking like X ends up 15-5 with our 2nd RS Championship...16-4 and it's an outright one IMO.

Xavier is by themselves in the lead now, but they're only one loss ahead of the next three teams with road games remaining against two of them. Marquette's expected win total in Kenpom is 15.58, so they're teetering right there on the edge between 15 and 16 wins. Xavier is right there with them at 15.52 expected wins. At this point, Xavier's games at Marquette has a huge impact; the winner of that game will probably have at least a share of the regular season title. Of course, Marquette still has a game at Creighton and Xavier still has a game at Providence and those two play each other, so these top 4 are still fairly intertwined.
